Fresh Church takes the privacy of its congregation seriously. The information in this document is simplified and made as clear and concise as possible as required by GDPR.
Who are we?
Fresh Church is an independent evangelical church and a registered charity (1096125). We meet at 105 Coleridge Road, Sholver, Oldham OL1 4RJ. We can be contacted via email at mhccfreshcontact@gmail.com.

Information we collect
Fresh Church will hold your personal details for the following reasons:
- You wish to be kept informed of events or meetings
- You wish Fresh Church to claim Gift Aid on your giving
- You join the church membership
- You become part of the leadership team (Trustees)
- You take on a role which requires you to have a DBS check
Fresh Church will hold your details securely and will not share them with any other organisation for marketing or any other purposes.
Your personal details comprise of your name, address, phone number and email address. Trustees and DBS checks may be required to provide more information.

How we use, store and share your information
Fresh Church will not pass your information on to other organisations.
Data is recorded and stored electronically and, if necessary, on paper.
Access to data is restricted and only accessible by certain members of the leadership team.
We will keep your information only for as long as we consider it necessary to carry out our obligations as a charity.
We use your information to process donations and to provide you with information about our work.
Your rights
You are free to see the information we hold for you; please make a formal written request to the Fresh Church Secretary via email at the address above, specifying which information you require. The information should be provided for you within 8 weeks of your request being received (there may be a charge for admin and postage).
We can refuse the request if:
- The cost of compliance exceeds an appropriate limit
- There would be prejudice to the conduct of public affairs
- The request is vexatious
You can ask for your details to be deleted from our database at any time. It should also be noted that some information cannot be deleted due to legal obligations ie donations etc.
How to complain
If you are unhappy with the way your information is processed by Fresh Church, please put your concerns in writing and send to the Church Secretary at the email address above.

You may, of your own free will, choose to give other members of the congregation your details for the purposes of friendship. Fresh Church cannot and will not be responsible for any details you give under these circumstances.
